Bird Boarding
Vacation? Business trip? Home remodeling? Hospitalization?
Whatever the reason, we are happy to look after your feathered friend(s) for as long as you need. You may bring your bird in their own cage if it is transportable, or we are happy to set up one of our own. Give us a call a week or more before you travel to allow us to prepare a cage and ensure a space (in the event of an emergency, we are usually able to accommodate last-minute arrivals).
If you are using one of our cages, feel free to bring some of your bird’s toys from home to help them feel more comfortable. You are also welcome to bring your own food and/or treats and anything else you’d like to ensure your bird has a happy stay with us. We have a fridge to keep perishables fresh if needed.
If you don’t bring your own food, we will feed your bird the same thing the store birds get: for small birds, species-appropriate Kaylor seed mixed with Roudybush crumbles and a sunflower seed or two as a treat; for large birds, species-appropriate Kaylor seed mixed with Zupreem pellets and an almond as a treat.
When you arrive to drop your bird off, we will ensure you have a boarding agreement on file, you will fill out a card to attach to your bird’s cage with daily care details, and you will be welcome to accompany your bird into the boarding area to help them settle in to their home away from home before you leave.
